Change Default Search Location Internet Explorer
How to change default search location for Internet Explorer 11
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click the Settings Icon (Gear / Cog) in top right
- Select Manage Addons
- Click Search Providers
- Click Find more search providers at the bottom of the window.
- Type google into the search textbox
- Click Add to Internet Explorer next to Google Search
- Click Add to Internet Explorer again
- Tick make this my Default Search Provider and click Add
- Close the Internet Explorer window and the Manage Add-ons Window.
- Open the Manage Add-ons window again and select Search Providers
- You will see that google is now the default provider
- You can remove Bing if you require, but Google will now be the search provider and you location should be picked up from your local machine.
- Close all Internet Explorer windows and open new windows for testing.
